Common questions

Does Keepsafe store my photos in the cloud?

Only if you turn on Backup & Sync. Keepsafe says the backup is optional: its Basic plan syncs up to 200 items, Premium up to 10,000, and Lifetime up to 100,000.

Is there a free Keepsafe alternative?

Yes. Secure Folder is free to download, with a vault and PIN or Face ID lock. Its decoy vault and Break-in Alerts require the optional Premium upgrade. Keepsafe also has a free tier with ads; its decoy vault and intruder alerts require Premium.

Can I move my photos from Keepsafe to Secure Folder?

Yes. Export your photos out of Keepsafe back to your camera roll, then import them into Secure Folder. Secure Folder can delete the originals when you import, or you can delete them from Photos yourself. There's no account to create.
